Lawrence Launches "Crosswalk to Care" 911 Program

Today, Mayor Deb Whitfield, Fire Chief Bob Wallace, and Dr. John Kunzer announced a partnership between the City of Lawrence and Crosswalk Health. Crosswalk to Care is a nurse-led 911 triage program designed to: ✅ Connect callers with licensed nurse navigators ✅ Provide same-day telehealth or in-person care ✅ Offer guidance for safe self-care at home ✅ Link residents to mental health, dental, or primary care resources ✅ Keep ambulances and ERs available for true emergencies This program is free to residents and part of the City’s Live Longer in Lawrence initiative.
