The vision of this program is to transform Lawrence into a place where neighbors seamlessly join forces to ensure the happiness and prosperity of all residents. Community Champions exemplifies the power of community engagement and the spirit of working together for the greater good.
Through collaborative efforts, local non-profits are poised to enhance their impact and better serve the community. One of the central features of this initiative is the launch of a comprehensive resource page on the City's website. This will provide residents with a convenient and accessible platform to connect with businesses capable of meeting their individual needs and facilitating their success.
Additionally, non-profit organizations dedicated to Lawrence's welfare will enjoy the benefits of semi-annual meetings, inclusion on the City of Lawrence's resource page, and valuable networking opportunities to foster collaboration in achieving their organizational objectives.

We do this through financial support of St. Mary's, the YMCA, and the MSDLT and through acts of service such as Easter egg stuffing, baking cookies for teachers and city employees, and delivering Valentine's goodies to residents of Benjamin Court.
