To report a possible violation of the Lawrence Municipal Code, please fill out the form below. Please be as specific as possible to allow us to get to your issue as prompt as possible.

Property Owners can start applying for permits directly, if they are planning to do work themselves or hire their own contractors

To apply for a Right of Way Permit, please use the below application and select the "Right of Way" or "Storm Water" under the "Type of Permit Being Requested" drop down menu.

All Right of Way permit applications shall require:

• A three (3) year maintenance bond in the sum of $10,000 for a specific location, or
• A three (3) year blanket maintenance bond in the sum of no less than $100,000 for all locations per calendar year.

Contractors will now need to register with the City of Lawrence to obtain permits.

Registration is easy!

1. Complete the registration form.
2. Pay a $150 registration fee, regardless of the number of trades.
3. Provide a general Liability Insurance.

Registration is valid for the same term as the Indianapolis or State License.
